On despicable criticism against genuine intellect and scientific honesty

A series of Einstein letters have been made available this week--among which we found one to Marie Curie offering her his unconditional support and advice against the despicable criticism she was under. Over 100 years later, the same advice not only still holds true but is especially important in a time where information flows freely and few are accountable for what they write.

I guess that one important difference now is that since the WWW is a fair playground for everyone, we cannot be silenced so easily and, if used appropriately, our voice might be amplified to our hearts' content!
